Laura Mercier Crème Brûlée Trio...

I love bath products. Plain and simple. When it comes to purchasing products for myself, I tend to stay loyal to what I have loved + used for years. But, I am always open to trying something new. My mom, sis, bff, and hubby have all gotten me some lovely products over the years. This Christmas my hubby got me this amazing bath trio set by Laura Mercier. I have used her makeup but never bath or skincare products. I fell in LOVE the first time I used this set. The bubble bath is divine and is so fun to use the honey wand to deliver the product to the bath. My girls are fascinated by this process and want to use it for their bath, too! The scrub is is exfoliating and moisturizing. The body creme is the perfect finale to the entire experience. I have never smelt so good! As stated on the Laura Mercier website~ "Bring the aroma of a French Patisserie to your home with Crème Brûlée, containing delicious notes of warm caramel, spun sugar and French vanilla bean for a sensual and enchanting experience." {yup, it really is that yummy!}
I highly recommend this set to anyone who wants to indulge in a luxurious bath experience. This set would be a perfect gift for Valentine's Day, a birthday or Mother's Day. I plan to give the favorite ladies in my life this gift set for a variety of different occasions this year!

Do you have a product YOU love, or swear by? We would love to hear! Leave us a comment with the product info + why you must have it in your life...

Insta Friday: Green Juice+ Biking Riding + Anthro + Snuggling Sisters...

Saturday, January 28, 2012

January has been a BUSY month. I was not prepared for this craziness, at all. Seriously, I was planning to be bored. To dive into some DIY projects I had pinned on Pinterest. I wanted to repaint a few rooms in the house. Recover 3 chairs. Transition Magnolia into a big girl bed + potty train her. Yup, none of that has happened. This week I am sharing my week in photos and linking up with Jeannett with Life Rearranged...
life rearranged

I made twin girls vintage rosette corsage tees. I LOVE how they
turned out in heather gray, cream, pink, and black. Their momma wanted
their names and age on the fabric flags. I couldn't resist adding a little lace, too!
And how cute are their names...Vivi + Gigi? Sooooo cute!

Went to grab a juice for breakfast one day this week. We have a local juice place
that is fantastic. I even did a cleanse with their 'Love Cleanse' juice for 2 weeks.
Lots of green. My friends claimed my hair was thicker, shinier, and my skin glowed.
Makes me want to drink a little green every week!

Paisley went to a birthday party at Build A Bear. We came home
with a pink pajama clad bear to add to our already gigantic
stuffed animal collection. I think it is time to go through it once
more and donate some friends that aren't being played with much these days...

Paisley is almost FIVE! I cannot believe my baby girl is getting
to be such a BIG Girl. The hubbs decided it was time to get her in action and
take her training wheels off her bike. He has dedicated himself to the cause and
is taking P bike riding about 5 days a week. She LOVES it but tends to get
a bit frustrated when things don't go her way...

My mother in law celebrated her 2 year anniversary with her boyfriend.
He gave her these gorgeous roses and she shared them with us! My gals
love fresh flowers and so do I. Such a simple pleasure...

I made an Oh Dear! winter tee for a lil' gal with a hot
pink felt bow and a vintage button. I had the hardest time
trying to figure out the bow placement. Oh well...

Jen asked me to tag a long with her and her sis to Anthro. I could NOT
resist this invite. I hadn't been in a few months and savored every quiet, yummy moment in my fave store. I shopped for my dear friend C, who had a birthday this week. I even grabbed a sweater for myself, and few new little bowls for the kitchen. There's just something so fun about new bowls + glasses. I have way too many but can't stop buying them!

The gals are obsessed with glitter. Magnolia asks to do glitter EVERY day!
I can't refuse but try to spread out the glitter projects to 2-3 times a week.
It literally looks as if Tinkerbell sprinkled Pixie Dust all over our hardwood floors downstairs.
Too bad the dog won't lick it up...

I caught the girlies in the sweetest moment. It was close to bath + bedtime.
I was cleaning up in the kitchen. They were so quiet. I didn't know what was going on.
Ah, there they were snuggled up together on the rocker reading books.
Seriously, I melted. They NEVER do this. The teacher in me was tickled. The momma in
me was more in love with these 2 little souls. Yes, I am so blessed. In the sweet, quiet moments. And in the crazy moments, too...

Happy Weekend Y'all...

Wishing you time to enjoy the sweet, quiet moments and the crazy ones too!

Photog LOVE {Tara Swain Photography}...

{Oh Fiddlesticks! Girls Vintage Valentine
Limited Edition Silhouette Tee
Available in our shop!}

A few months ago I was contacted by a photographer named Tara Swain. She was inquiring about sponsorship for a photography workshop she was going to hold. I immediately checked out her blog and found out she was a fellow Texan. I loved her work~ and knew I wanted to have her shoot a tee for me for the holidays. We corresponded. Time passed and I decided to do a limited run of our vintage silhouette tee in a cranberry frame. The colors were perfect for Christmas and Valentine's Day. I sent her the tee and viola...magic happened! This tee was even featured in an dedicated Etsy email titled P.S. I Love You as the featured children's item for Valentine's gift ideas. That was such a thrill!

Thank you so much Tara for the chic, colorful, + classy images. LOVE that your pup got involved too! I look forward to having you shoot for us again! And now from the mouth of our featured photog...

OH! What A Day...

Tuesday, January 24, 2012

{A photog feature on Tara will posted tomorrow!}

Been in a funk today. Yuck. I don't like days like this. Maybe it was the weather. Cold. Gray. And wet. Or maybe I could sense that my hubby was going to be a grump all day. Nope. I think it was my mommy's intuition telling me my gals were going to get sick and that we weren't going to get to go to our weekly Tuesday afternoon play date with some of our best pals. Yup. They are both out for the count. And I have so many to do's {orders to fill, new pieces to create, Bikram Yoga to attend, etc.} Sometimes we are forced to slow down. Today was one of those days. I resisted big time. Well, I am going to do my best to embrace it. Take a few deep breaths. Hang with the hubbs and have a fat glass of red wine.

Bon Nuit!

Melissa
